Region Selection

Record a custom area of your screen.

Select a Region

Region selection lets you capture a specific area of your screen — perfect for focused demos and tutorials.

  1. Open Tuka and select Region from the source picker.

  2. Click and drag to define the capture area. You can resize the selection using the corner handles.

  3. Click Record to start capturing the selected region.

  4. Stop recording from the menu bar or with your keyboard shortcut.

Preset Sizes

Tuka offers preset region sizes for common use cases:

  • 1920×1080 — Full HD
  • 1280×720 — HD
  • 1080×1920 — Vertical (Shorts, Reels, TikTok)
  • Custom — any size you need

Tips

  • Hold Shift while dragging to lock the aspect ratio
  • Use presets for consistent dimensions across recordings
  • The region stays in place between recordings for quick re-takes

Region selection works alongside webcam overlay — record a portion of your screen with your camera visible.
