Silence Removal

Automatically detect and remove silent sections from your recordings.

What It Does

Silence removal scans your recording's audio track and identifies sections with little or no sound. You can then remove them in one click, keeping your content tight and engaging.

Remove Silence

  1. Open your recording in the editor.

  2. Click Silence Removal in the toolbar.

  3. Adjust the threshold slider to control sensitivity. Lower values detect quieter pauses.

  4. Preview the detected silent sections (shown as highlighted regions on the timeline).

  5. Click Remove to cut all detected silences at once.

Fine-Tuning

  • Threshold — how quiet a section must be to count as silence
  • Minimum duration — ignore pauses shorter than this (e.g., natural breathing pauses)
  • Padding — keep a small buffer before and after each cut for natural flow
💡

Preview before committing. You can adjust the threshold and re-scan as many times as needed before applying the cuts.
